The automatic response when you set out modifying a small, underpowered Japanese hatchback is to lower it and throw on some stickers and red trim.

It wouldn't happen until at least when its paid off 3 1/2 years from now, but I want to go a different route with my 2014 Nissan Versa Note.

It may not be possible.

I want to lift it.

Not a bro-truck lift, I would just like like maybe an inch or two of extra height. I'd like to add tires with a bit more sidewall to them, maybe with some old-school three spoke wheels.

I'd also like to two tone it, since my rear bumper doesn't match the rest of the car and it irritates me to no end. I'd paint the front and rear bumpers a soft grey/baby blue color, and add some fender flares, just an inch out from the body, color keyed to the bumpers. I plan on getting a Thule roof rack at the end of the year for my cycling and camping trips, which would add to the look.

I have no Photoshop skills, so I can't create any depictions of my dream, but let it be known that I wish this could happen.

It won't.

EDIT: Basically what I'm saying is, I want to turn my bog standard Impreza into an XV Crosstrek.

Why doesn't your rear bumper match the rest of the car?

The next time you see a Versa Note, take a look at it the rear. None of them match, seemingly regardless of color. My rear bumper looks almost yellow from certain angles, especially immediately after being washed/waxed (front matches body much better). I have seen Peacock colored Notes whose bumpers almost look navy.

Yeah! But that looks like its still running stock size tires. Unfortunately the previous generation hatch is on a completely different platform to the Note, they share very little parts.

I took it to the dealer and posted about it, the service manager took me to the other new Notes and said what I just told you - they're all like that.
